Here is a quick look at the agenda for that day!
Capitol Planning/Strategic Planning
Regulators have been clear about the need for Bank Directors to determine what is capital adequacy based on the risk of the specific bank. For OCC banks, this is mandatory. For FRB and FDIC banks this is best practices. This session will discuss how to determine capital adequacy then implement it into strategic planning to increase profitability and shareholder value.
Determining Stock Value
Shareholder value is a critical component of all community banks. If your goal is to maintain independence, the first step is to meet the needs of your shareholders. This session will walk the directors through the key components of shareholder value and how to realistically maintain a strong price the benefits everyone.
Board Roles and Responsibilities
This session will provide a reminder of responsibilities of the Board of Directors and the individual director. Each of the five primary responsibilities will be discussed along with how to meet those responsibilities.
There will also be an opportunity for networking as well as afternoon sessions on interest-rate risk and the uniform bank performance report.
The day will end with an open forum where directors may ask whatever questions they might have.
