Earlier this week, WBA hosted a small breakfast fundraiser for Congressman Mark Pocan (D) in Madison. Ten representatives from WBA had a wide-ranging discussion on federal legislation and the local economy. He committed his office to look into several bills outside of the CHOICE Act that would provide relief to community banks.

During the August congressional recess, Pocan will be touring banks within his district.

Congressman Pocan was sworn in as the U.S. Representative for Wisconsin’s second congressional district in 2013 following 14 years in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Rep. Pocan is Co-Chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC) and Co-Chair of the LGBT Equality Caucus. In the 115th Congress, he serves on the House Appropriations Committee where he sits on the Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services and Education, and the Subcommittee on Agriculture.
