“We may be a local bank, but we are active in our state and federal regulatory environment because there are aspects of financial service regulations that impact our ability to serve you, our customers.” That was the first sentence written by Capitol Bank for their blog regarding their meeting with Congressman Mark Pocan. That’s the same reason why so many Wisconsin banks meet with their legislators. This particular meeting was arranged by the WBA. Representing the association, Rose Oswald Poels also participated as local bankers shared their local perspective on regulatory relief, tax reform, revised mortgage lending laws and the CFPB’s arbitration rule.
Capitol Bank’s Ken Thompson, president and CEO; Eugene Bembenek, Senior Vice President of Finance/Operations; and Gary Kuter, Vice President Retail Banking/Chief Compliance Officer represented the bank in the meeting with Pocan.
