The WBA and the Wisconsin Credit Union League (WCUL) sent a joint letter to each member of the Wisconsin Congressional Delegation. On behalf of their combined membership of 340 community financial institutions, both organizations asked for assistance in the quick passage of S. 2155, the Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief, and Consumer Act.
In the letter, the associations point out that the benefits will include regulatory relief related to qualified mortgages, Home Mortgage Disclosure Act reporting, and elder abuse. Some WBA members are currently speaking on this topic, as well as other issues, in Washington D.C. as part of WBA’s Washington Summits.
