Over 2,000 FFA students from around the state gathered in Madison earlier this month for their annual state convention. During the convention, WBA and some of our ag bankers had the opportunity to exhibit in a career showcase. Several bankers volunteered their time, talking with the students and creating awareness about a potential career as an agricultural banker. While not every student will end up as an ag banker, participating in events like this is a great opportunity to showcase the Wisconsin community banking industry to prospective and future clients - these FFA students will need a banker someday!
WBA wishes to thank the following bankers for volunteering their time to travel to Madison and spend time at the booth talking with students, asking banking and credit-related trivia questions and giving out some great bank giveaway items!

Our neighbor booth had some familiar faces as well! Investors Community Bank also participated in the career showcase, bringing along some great bank logoed items and several staff volunteers, including Trever Athorp, Steve Fleming, intern Kelly Wilfert, Melissa Schamburek, and Rachel Schulz.
WBA plans to exhibit again at next year's FFA State Convention Career Showcase. Any WBA member is welcome to participate and volunteer at the booth. Contact WBA's Lori Kalscheuer via email or at 608.441.1250 for more information.
