Versions of the 2018 Farm Bill have now passed the House and Senate, but some farmers are not looking forward to either.

"The current form, the dairy portion of the Farm Bill, simply is not what dairy farmers need," President of the Wisconsin Farmers Union Darin Von Ruden explains.

Created during The Great Depression, the bill includes programs such as the Milk Margin Protection Plan (MPP). The plan is meant to economically support farmers.

With the U.S. a very different place than in the 1930s, farmers say handing out more money won't fix the problems at hand.
