Eleven area non-profit organizations are benefitting from Investors Community Bank’s upcoming move to the former Manitowoc Company headquarters at 2400 S. 44th Street in Manitowoc.
When ICB purchased the building, furniture, fixtures and equipment, it recognized that it would have an excess inventory of quality lightly used furniture. Instead of selling excess furniture, ICB offered the furniture to non-profit organizations in the Manitowoc County area. Eleven agencies inspected, picked and moved a total of 315 pieces. The donated furniture included desks, storage cabinets, filing cabinets, desk chairs, conference room tables and much more.
“Funding for nonprofits can be limited, which means that items like desk chairs and filing cabinets can be in short supply,” said Tim Schneider, Investors Community Bank CEO and Co-Founder. “With ICB’s strong community ties, we were thrilled to be able to help local nonprofits by donating the extra furniture. A strong community benefits everyone in it. We’re proud of the work local nonprofits do and glad to support their efforts.”
