Royal Bank held a groundbreaking event on Wednesday, July 25, at the bank’s new location on the north edge of the City of Lancaster. 

“Royal Bank has had a long history of doing business with customers in the Lancaster area, and we’re proud that our customers believe in our locally owned and operated community bank,” said Jeff Gruetzmacher, senior vice president.

This new location will allow for additional office space, a modern cash management experience, and a drive-through for enhanced service opportunities for customers.

“In the digital age, community banks have not disappeared. In fact, our customers, especially in rural areas, might want services delivered in different ways, but one-on-one service and advice from trusted partners will never go out of style and is something they can’t get from big banks.”

In 2016, the bank established a boutique-style office on the Square in Lancaster for assisting customers with loans and other business services. Since then, the bank outgrew the existing space, and the demand for additional services has exceeded expectations.  

In response to high demand for deposit services, the office quickly became a full service branch in October of 2016. 

“Communities are a reflection of the financial institutions that serve them. Royal Bank is committed to meeting the true financial needs of our customers and the communities we serve in the ways they want it – whether online or in person,” added Gruetzmacher.

The new branch is slated for completion by January of 2019.
