Elder financial abuse is a growing problem for Wisconsin and the nation. The Wisconsin Bankers Association and its members have worked closely over the past few months with Wisconsin Attorney General Brad Schimel and his Elder Abuse Task Force in creating an awareness video addressing the issue of elder financial abuse for frontline bank staff.
WBA’s Rose Oswald Poels will be joining the Attorney General today as he announces the video’s availability during three press conferences. Johnson Financial Group is hosting the first press conference in Milwaukee and Associated Bank is hosting the second in Green Bay. The third will be held later in the day at a credit union in Madison.
WBA members are encouraged to use this free tool to engage frontline staff and other employees on the issue of elder financial abuse.
Even though the intended audience is frontline staff, the expert bankers who provided guidance for the video also indicated that other parts of the bank would benefit from viewing the nine-minute video.
