North Shore Bank announced that it has officially opened its new, full-service, state-of-the-art bank office at 4060 N. Oakland Ave. in Shorewood, on the southeast corner of Oakland and East Kenmore Place. The new office – built not far from where the bank was founded in 1923 – features an updated design concept and new technology that will offer Shorewood area customers more convenient banking options.
The bank will host grand opening events open to the public from Tuesday, August 7, through Saturday, August 11. Throughout the week guests will also be able to donate loose change to benefit the Shorewood SEED Foundation, which supports Shorewood public schools. North Shore Bank will match up to $1,000 of the donated change to support the organization.
Each day of the grand opening week will have a special focus. Tuesday, Aug. 7 will be “drive-up day,” with any customer who tries out the new drive-up receiving a free air freshener. Wednesday, Aug. 8 will be “pet day,” and anyone who comes in with their furry friend will receive a pet-friendly gift. Thursday, Aug. 9 the bank will host a free sundae social from 1 to 3 p.m. with guests getting a free ice cream scoop in addition to a sweet treat. Friday, Aug. 10 is “lending day” and guests can visit with lending experts and learn about auto, recreational and home equity options.
To culminate the week, the bank will celebrate its 95th birthday with a special birthday party on Saturday, Aug. 11. Visitors will be able to enjoy cake, activities, and meet the bank’s seagull mascot, Seymour Savings. The first 50 children to attend will take home a free piggy bank.
