More than 2,100 homes sold across the Milwaukee metro in July, of which 70 percent were priced under $300,000, according to the latest report from the Greater Milwaukee Association of Realtors.
The majority of those under-$300K homes were sold in Milwaukee County, where home sales at that price point accounted for 86 percent of the 1,198 sales in the county in July. Of Racine County's 264 home sales in July, 84 percent were priced under $300,000, and in Kenosha County, 79 percent of the 222 homes sold there were under $300,000.
Overall, home sales were up 4.7 percent in July when compared with the year-ago period, per the GMAR report.
