NextGen Personal Finance was the main contributor to a record-setting audience at the Wisconsin Summit on Financial Literacy, held on Friday, Oct. 19. NextGen is a non-profit and advocacy organization that provides free lessons, activities, and professional development to teachers of personal financial literacy. The Summit was held in conjunction with the Get Your Students Pumped Up on Personal Finance and Economics conference. 
 
Keynote speaker Green Bay Packers President & CEO Mark Murphy, updated the group on the economic impact of the team on the neighborhood and surrounding community. He stated that each home game brings approximately $15 million in positive economic development.
 
Last session, the WBA helped pass a bill the required financial literacy be taught as part of each school district’s K-12 curriculum.
