The conference will kick off the afternoon of Monday, February 4 with networking peer group meetings for c-suite bankers (CEO, CFO, CIO/CTO, CRO, COO), followed by opportunities for dinner with WBA Associate Members.

On Tuesday, attendees will dive into the content with presenter Joe Calloway's session Magnetic: The Art of Attracting Business. The drastic transformation in customer expectations and experiences over the past decade is one of the driving forces behind the need for banks to evolve, and Calloway's presentation will provide simple, powerful, and actionable strategies to get everyone in your bank focused on creating consistent customer experiences that generate customer satisfaction and grow your business.

Tuesday's three general sessions will provide additional insight into the forces driving change in the industry: today's challenging operating environment (particularly with regard to interest rate risk), "big data," and fintech. Attendees will also hear from special guest speaker FDIC Chair Jelena McWilliams and receive an update on the banking industry from ICBA President and CEO Rebeca Romero Rainey

After sessions wrap up for the day, attendees will enjoy the Chairman's Dinner, featuring the Banker of the Year Celebration, and a reception featuring a casino and (back by popular demand) the WBA Euchre Tournament. Additionally, dinner speaker Ed Henry, chief national correspondent for FOX News, will provide a view from Washington, sharing his definitive analysis and highlighting how top-of-the-ballot issues influence the country and the banking industry, particularly the outcomes of the 2018 mid-term elections.

This year's Bank Executives Conference will conclude on Wednesday with three keynote presentations focused on helping Wisconsin's banking industry leaders identify opportunities for positive change and giving them the tools they need in order to execute that evolution. First, Mark Zinder, economic forecaster and futurist, will challenge the headlines screaming that robots and AI will eliminate jobs and tackle today's uncertainty head-on. He'll show how revolutions come and go, including today's information technology revolution, provide insight on what might happen next, and explain why there are reasons to be optimistic about tomorrow.

After an economic update from economist Dr. Peter Riscchiuti, attendees will hear from this year's closing speaker: award-winning branding expert and storyteller Steve Battista, former SVP of brand at Under Armour. Battista's presentation will reveal how businesses succeed by building an authentic brand and sidestepping the normal marketing strategy to win the hearts and minds of their customers. He'll demonstrate how to protect a brand through emotional campaigns, amazing brand experiences, genuine product placement, savvy digital marketing, and how you can apply those strategies to build your brand and tell your story.
