Congressman Bryan Steil, representing Wisconsin's 1st district, has been selected for the House Financial Services Committee.

As one of only five Republican freshmen recommended to serve on the Committee, Bryan will provide a fresh outlook on pocketbook issues facing families across America,” said Ranking Member Patrick McHenry. “Bryan’s experience in the private sector will help us ensure that the American dream is achievable for families, workers, and entrepreneurs throughout the country.”

Other new members of the committee are returning Reps. Alma Adams (D-N.C.), Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) and Al Lawson (D-Fla.). They will be joined by freshman Reps. Cindy Axne (D-Iowa), Sean Casten (D-Ill.), Madeleine Dean (D-Penn.), Chuy Garcia (D-Ill.), Sylvia Garcia (D-Texas), Ben McAdams (D-Utah), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), Dean Phillips (D-Minn.), Katie Porter (D-Calif.), Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.), Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), Anthony Gonzalez (R-Ohio), Lance Gooden (R-Texas), Denver Riggleman (R-Va.), and John Rose (R-Tenn.), along with Del. Michael San Nicolas (D-Guam).
