Black River Country Bank is excited to announce the movement of several key individuals to new roles within the Bank. “Their faces are the same, but you’ll see them in new spaces,” announced Bob Becker, President of Black River Country Bank. "We are fortunate to have amazing talent in-house to be able to fulfill the changing needs and vision for our business, while simultaneously, further developing the professional aspirations of our loyal employees.”
Dana Olson will be stepping into a new role in Bank Administration. As Assistant Vice President, she will be handling internal bank functions. Employed with the Bank for 29 years, Olson started as a Teller, then moved to the Loan Department as a Loan Processor, and for the last 14 years has been a Loan Officer. She has also handled Collections, Marketing, and Education over the years. “I am looking forward to my new role, as this is not an area of the bank I have been involved with,” commented Olson.
Olson is a lifelong Jackson County resident. She resides in Black River Falls with her husband Ray. She is the current President of the Friends Sharing Food organization and the Secretary of the Black River Falls Downtown Association. Olson is also a current member and Past President of the Rotary Club of Black River Falls.
Kim Torres will be moving into her new position as a Loan Officer. Torres joined the Black River Country Bank family 6 years ago. She’s been a Bank customer since she was 3 yrs. old so Torres was more than eager to join the Team. She has worked at the Melrose location as well as the BRF branch for the past 5 years as a Personal Banker. Her time spent with her deposit customers has given her foundation to smoothly transition into the Lending Department.
Torres and her husband Dan live in rural Melrose. Torres has two children, Teagan (16) and Terek (14). Torres and Dan stay very busy with sporting events for both children along with church and community activities. Torres is also the Clerk for the Town of Melrose and finds time to juggle her Town job as well as her Bank responsibilities.
Torres shared, “I’m very excited to take on my new role as Loan Officer. My enthusiasm for helping our community and my long history of developing relationships in the Bank will benefit me in becoming a great Lender!”
Sheila Kutchera will take on the role of Personal Banker at BRCB. Kutchera joined Black River Country Bank in 2016 as an Operations Associate in the Bookkeeping Department in the Black River Falls office. She is transitioning well into her new position as a Personal Banker at BRCB, as personal banking is not new to Kutchera. “I have worked in banking since 2002 and the majority of my prior experiences dealt with handling customer deposit accounts and personal banking. I am very excited to return to this aspect of financial services and work closer, building relationships with our customers here at Black River Country Bank,” shared Kutchera.
Kutchera and her husband John reside on a farm in rural Humbird. The couple have four adult sons and like to keep busy with work and family.
