Ben Becker has joined Cornerstone Community Bank as VP – Senior Commercial Lender. Becker comes to Cornerstone with over 16 years of commercial lending experience as a community banker. Becker is involved in several community organizations including the Slinger-Allenton Rotary Club, Economic Development/Washington County, Medical Center Foundation of Hartford, the ALS Association – both the Wisconsin Chapter and National Organization, and Lannon Stonemen Youth Baseball.
“We have found the recent consolidation in the banking industry has provided opportunity for our community bank in the Washington County marketplace,” said Paul Foy, president of Cornerstone Community Bank. “As a local community bank, we offer services at our other locations in Grafton and Menomonee Falls that we now will be bringing to Washington County. The addition of Ben to the Cornerstone team positions us to service small businesses in our soon-to-be Slinger office, and to give back to Washington County where Ben grew up, continues to be involved and has worked for the past nine years.” The new Cornerstone Slinger office has a target opening date of July 1, 2019, pending application approval.
Becker will join VP - Senior Commercial Lender Chris Zirbes, along with lenders Todd Novotny, and Chris Boucher, and will be based out of Slinger. Together they will work to grow Cornerstone’s portfolio of commercial real estate and business loans.
Becker has a B.B.A. degree (Summa Cum Laude) in International Business and Management from Northwood University, a M.B.A degree from DeVos Graduate School of Management, and has completed studies at the Graduate School of Banking in Madison. Becker lives in Menomonee Falls with his wife, Laurie, and their three children.
Becker will be assisted by Business Support Specialist Rose Metke, who also has joined Cornerstone and brings over 40 years of experience working with commercial clients.
