A Ribbon Cutting & Grand Opening celebration was held on Friday, June 14 in Juneau to celebrate the completion of the new Farmers & Merchants Union Bank (FMUB) building. The 3,700-square-foot banking facility is located at 198 S. Western Ave. at the intersection of US Highway 26 and Western Avenue in Juneau (next to Piggly Wiggly and across the street from Dodgeland School.)
“We have been committed to the Juneau community since we opened our first banking location on Jewel Street on February 24, 2003,” said Randy Bobholz, President/CEO of Farmers & Merchants Union Bank. “We have had plans to build a new bank building in Juneau for quite some time, and our planning and patience has paid off. We are very pleased with our new facility and its location, and we look forward to continuing our already-great relationship with the city of Juneau and surrounding community.”
The Ribbon Cutting ceremony early Friday morning included FMUB Board of Directors and staff, Oliver Construction owners and architect, Juneau Common Council members, the Dodge County Board Chairman, Wisconsin Bankers Association President, and the media. Just after cutting the ribbon, Bobholz said, “Thank you all for joining us today and for your support. Farmers & Merchants Union Bank – we are open for business!”
The Grand Opening celebration later that same day included treats from Rhodes Bake-N-Serve, Sprecher’s Restaurant & Pub (Fast Lanes, Columbus, WI), Piggly Wiggly, Sassy Cow, and a brat fry with WXRO/WBEV. Attendees from Juneau and surrounding communities enjoyed more than 800 brats and 100 hamburgers at the three-hour event. FMUB Board and staff provided tours of the facility and answered questions.
The main floor of the new facility is 2,700+/- square feet and houses a teller line, safe deposit box storage area and viewing room, office space and an interactive conference room. A three-lane drive through, with an outdoor-access ATM, is also included in the new construction. As a community bank, FMUB prides itself on the relationships with its customers and members of the communities it serves (Juneau, Columbus, Fall River, Friesland, Rio.) The new Juneau banking facility provides the same relationship-focused banking services FMUB customers have come to know and trust.
