National Exchange Bank is pleased to publicly announce the recipients of its scholarships offered to the children of its employees. The scholarships, in partnership with the Fond du Lac Area Foundation, are available to educate youth and provide financial support to the sons and daughters of active National Exchange Bank & Trust (NEBAT) employees. Renewable scholarships are available for $3,000 per year for a baccalaureate degree and $2,000 per year for a technical college degree. This year’s winners in the inaugural scholarship offering are:

Nicole Fritsche – Daughter of Patty Fritsche, Community Loan Officer at the Montello Office. Fritsche will be a senior at UW-Whitewater majoring in Finance. She is a member of Sigma Alpha Lambda sorority and a prior board member of the National Honor Society. She previously participated in intramural sports, the Run for Trey and the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics. Fritsche is currently the Student Manager for UW-Whitewater sports.

Benjamin Hintze – Son of Dan Hintze, VP/Lending at the Fond du Lac South Main location. Hintze will be a sophomore at Marquette University majoring in Accounting and Finance. He plays intermural soccer and basketball and is a Boys and Girls Club Tutor. He was previously a member of Key Club and Student Council, as well as volunteering at Agnesian Hospital, Salvation Army and Loaves and Fishes. He has taken part in mission trips to Nicaragua and Belize. In the summer, he works part-time for South Hills Golf & Country Club.

James Jimenez – Son of Desi Jimenez, Operations Officer/Project Management in the Fond du Lac and Beaver Dam locations. Jimenez will be a junior at UW-Madison majoring in Mechanical Engineering. He is currently a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and plays intramural basketball. He is a prior member of the National Honor Society and DECA, refereed for Special Olympics and volunteered for the Salvation Army, Dodge County Food Pantry and American Legion. He currently works as an Intramural Referee for UW-Madison Rec Sports.

Taylor Schmidt – Daughter of Beth Schmidt, Operations Manager in the Campbellsport location. Schmidt will be a junior at UW-Oshkosh majoring in Nursing. She is currently a member of the Oshkosh Student Nurse Association and Circle K. She is a prior Sunday school teacher, youth basketball coach and volunteer at Father Carr’s, Habitat for Humanity and Bethel Nursing Home. She presently works as a CNA at Kettle Moraine Gardens, a CAA Umpire and a Cheese Packager for Baker Cheese.
