Oregon Community Bank recently announced a $100,000 donation, the largest gift the organization has ever made, to the Jaycee Park Renovation Project in the heart of Oregon Wisconsin.
President and Chief Executive Officer Steve Peotter announced the donation at the Oregon Village Board meeting held on September 16th. Present at the meeting was a wide variety of community sports clubs that will be able to enjoy the enhanced facility.
“Oregon Community Bank is thrilled to give back to the community in this capacity” Peotter stated. “We have a long history of supporting community facilities that benefit all members of society. We see the Jaycee Park renovation as an inclusive destination that will be enjoyed for decades to come.”
“The Village is pleased to move forward with the planning of renovating Jaycee Park West and is grateful for Oregon Community Bank’s leadership in helping fund this important project” Jeanne Carpenter, Oregon Village President, stated. “I know this lead donation will spur a flurry of excitement and commitment to building a showcase park in the heart of the community.”
The donation will span 25 years and will assist in major renovation of the premier park in Oregon. The Jaycee Park Renovation plan will include four new baseball/softball fields, two full size playing fields, up to twelve pickleball courts, a new concession facility, new playground equipment, updated walking paths and increased parking.
As Peotter noted, Oregon Community Bank has an exceptional reputation of giving back to the community. Recent donations have included the Oregon Pump House renovation, the Oregon water tower renovation, the newly constructed Oregon Youth Center, the recently completed Oregon Food Pantry, along with significant donations to various youth sports teams and, most recently, the continuation of the presenting sponsor of the Oregon Kids Triathlon.
