In order to better serve its customers, Port Washington State Bank announced the adoption of a new domain—pwsb.bank—for its internet operations. The change will be implemented on December 4. The .bank domain is a new, more secure internet domain. It is an easily identifiable channel for trusted communications between Port Washington State Bank and its customers.
Since the .bank environment is exclusive to the banking industry, it provides a level of security unmatched in traditional internet environments. The strict controls in place help mitigate cyber security risk and allow Port Washington State Bank to better protect its customers.
“We are delighted to adopt pwsb.bank for our internet operations,” said Cindy Nierode, CFO and Information Security Officer. “The pwsb.bank domain enables us to build a high-trust environment for our customers that can offer new products and services and provide a more secure domain to better protect them from cybercrime attacks.”
In addition to the site moving to a new domain, the website is being redesigned with a fresh look. "Our website will better showcase the bank's technology, our friendly employees and our ties to the communities we serve. On top of that, we can now offer a mobile experience to make smartphone viewing easier," commented Tarrah Beyer, VP/Director of Marketing.
