For the month of October, Woodford State Bank teamed up with the Komen Foundation for the fight against breast cancer. The Susan G. Komen Foundation raises funds to help local women and men impacted by breast cancer. The funds that are raised will be used for health services and educational programs, and will support research to find the cures for breast cancer. Through this program, 75% of the funds raised remain in our local communities to help fund local breast cancer initiatives. Funds were raised by monetary donations with donation jars throughout the community, hosting a pie sale, silent auction, ribbon sales, sip & shop event, and a chili cook-off. Other banks in our local area also participated. Greenwoods State Bank and Wisconsin Bank & Trust participated in ribbon sales. The Bank of New Glarus gave a monetary donation of $250. Our goal was to raise $5,000. We exceeded this goal and raised a total of $6,264!
