Peoples State Bank, Wausau, President and CEO Scott Cattanach announced the following promotions:
Jessica Perry, promoted to operations officer, Wausau – Stewart Avenue location. Perry began her career at Peoples 15 years ago in the bank’s call center, helping customers with their questions or concerns—a trait she’s developed and honed throughout her time at Peoples. Now as the operations officer, Perry is responsible for the deposit team who ensure customer’s transactions with the bank are processed smoothly and effortlessly behind the scenes. She led the implementation of a new digital banking platform, all while providing customers with the best experience possible.
Cindy Wright, promoted to vice president, retail team leader, Rhinelander location. Wright was instrumental in the collaboration and execution of the successful consolidation of two Rhinelander branches, while continuing to grow the retail business. She began her career with Peoples in 2005, first at the Rib Mountain location, and in 2013 moving to the Rhinelander area to manage those retail operations. She will continue to manage the Rhinelander team, in addition to the Minocqua and Eagle River branch teams.
Jared Morris, promoted to vice president, credit administration, Wausau – Stewart Avenue location. Morris began his career at Peoples as a credit analyst. Now, eight years later, he heads up the credit team, providing analysis and support to the commercial banking team on business loan applications. Morris administers the bank’s commercial loan policies to support strong asset quality and works closely with bank examiners during periodic loan reviews.
Bob Chasteen, promoted to commercial banking officer, Rhinelander location. Since his arrival at Peoples in 2014, Chasteen has become an integral part of Peoples’ commercial banking team. Spending his time at the bank’s locations in Rhinelander, Eagle River, and Minocqua, he works to ensure business customers are provided the right product to be successful, in an agile and timely manner.
Jose Pimienta, Jr., promoted to commercial banking officer, Milwaukee location. Pimienta began his tenure at Peoples in July 2017, in the bank’s Milwaukee loan production office. In his new role, Pimienta will work with prospective and current customers to understand their banking needs and present them with options to help them be successful in the short- and longterm.
Heather Martell, promoted to treasury management officer, Wausau – Stewart Avenue location. Martell has spent all five years at Peoples in the Treasury Management department which is responsible for helping business customers with all their banking needs. She served as the liaison for Peoples’ business customers during the bank’s digital banking upgrade in 2019. Martell helps business owners and their staff to utilize Peoples’ cash management products to fully benefit their bottom line.
Janel Thoune, promoted to director of marketing, Wausau – Stewart Avenue location. Thoune has been with Peoples for more than five years, leading the bank’s marketing efforts. Recently she helped develop a social media policy for the bank. Thoune has been instrumental in marketing the bank to new customers throughout Northcentral Wisconsin, as well as in the new West Allis and Milwaukee area.
