Investors Community Bank (ICB), a subsidiary of County Bancorp, Inc., recently awarded $3,000 college scholarships to two students who are planning careers in the field of business and agriculture.
“Our mission is to create financial solutions where people and relationships make the difference,” said Tim Schneider, ICB’s CEO and Co-Founder. “We believe in the importance of educating our youth and are proud to offer these scholarships as part of our commitment to the community.”
This year’s winners are Olivia Asare, a 2020 graduate of Appleton North High School, and Madeline Zutz, a 2017 graduate of Valders High School and 2020 graduate of the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities.
Asare will be attending UW-Madison this fall, majoring in marketing and sales with a minor in Spanish. Upon graduation, she hopes to pursue a career in marketing with the goal of someday working internationally. She hopes to one day start her own marketing agency and work specifically with nonprofit organizations.
Zutz is a 2020 graduate of the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, where she earned a degree in animal science, pre-vet. She will continue her education this fall at UW-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine to pursue her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Upon receiving her degree, Zutz hopes to start her career practicing clinical food animal veterinary medicine, enabling her to engage one on one with farmers to help them succeed and produce the best quality product through proper animal and farm management practices.
