Peoples State Bank, Wausau, announces the promotion of Clint Oelhafen as a commercial banker at the bank’s Marathon location. Oelhafen—who has lived in Marathon since 2013—joined Peoples in April, 2019 as a personal banker. In addition to serving as a personal banker, Oelhafen worked with Marathon area commercial customers since his hire, making this a natural transition.
“Marathon continues to be an extremely important banking market for Peoples,” said Pat Heier, senior vice president, commercial banking at Peoples. “Clint’s experience at Peoples along with his prior business-related background will serve our commercial customers well in this position. As a resident of Marathon, Clint is committed to being a community leader and brings a lot of energy to serving business customers in the Marathon area.”
Oelhafen will work with Marathon commercial banker Todd Kopplin and branch manager Kaci Sessions—along with Craig Lau, the bank’s central Wisconsin commercial banking team leader—to grow the bank’s business portfolio throughout central Marathon County. Working with current and new commercial customers, Oelhafen will provide business owners flexible lending programs and deposit solutions to advance their businesses.
Oelhafen, a Marshfield native, has a degree in financial services from Mid-State Technical College. In his spare time, he loves to volunteer in the Marathon community coaching youth baseball, and spending time with his family hiking, fishing, and riding on ATV trails.
