Jane Leis has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer and Jim Anderson has been promoted to President/Chief Lending Officer of Union State Bank. Leis and Anderson will co-lead the Bank after Steve Zeman’s retirement. The Board of Directors of Union State Bank approved the appointments at a meeting in October.

Leis has been with Union State Bank for 25 years and served as Sr. Vice President for the past 15 years. Her experience spans a wide range of banking roles including compliance, human resources, information technology and risk management.

Anderson has been with Union State Bank for 15 years and served as Vice President. Anderson is a leading agriculture and business lender in La Crosse and surrounding counties.

Bryant Klos, Board Chairman, stated “He is confident that Jane and Jim will lead the Bank forward by continuing our culture of putting its customers, community and employees at the forefront of everything we do.”

Retiring President Steve Zeman said, “Jane and Jim have been a part of our bank leadership team for a number of years and will continue the bank’s strong traditions of local decisions, community involvement and investment in the West Salem area.”
