Robert C. Schwartz recently received the 2020 Mary L. Staudenmaier WINGS (Worthy Individual Noted for Generous Service) Award. This award was named in honor of The Stephenson National Bank & Trust’s (SNBT) former-chairman and long-time president. The award epitomizes Schwartz’s steady participation in public service for the community.
“We are always pleased to give this award to an employee that is truly devoted to serving the community, and we have been able to do so for over a decade,” said Daniel J. Peterson, SNBT president and CEO. “It has been appropriately named in honor of Mary Staudenmaier, who demonstrates the importance of serving our area through endless community involvement of her own.”
Schwartz, Loan Officer in Oconto since 2010, was presented with the WINGS Award due to his remarkable level of community service. He pledged 382 volunteer hours to multiple local organizations, serving as President of the Oconto Lions Club, Leading Knight of the Oconto Elks, Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree, Board Member of the Oconto Chamber, and voting member for the OCEDC Micro Loan Committee, Oconto Industrial Fund, and Oconto Pedestrian Bridge.
To recognize his dedication to serving, Schwartz received the WINGS plaque and his name and photograph have been added to the WINGS display in the Marinette and Oconto locations. In addition, the bank has made a $500 contribution in his name to The Knights of Columbus #1475 in Oconto, WI.
As a Loan Officer with over thirty-five years of experience in lending, Schwartz’s primary focus is providing consumer and mortgage loans to customers while also introducing them to other bank products that may help their financial futures. He has previously received the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award from the Oconto Lions Club and has been declared Elks Knight of the Year. Schwartz resides in Oconto with his wife, Christine.
