Peoples State Bank provided a $5,000 grant to Balloon Decorations, LLC of Milwaukee. The money is part of a $15,000 Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB) of Chicago “Targeted Impact Fund” grant for businesses hard hit by COVID-19. Peoples is a member of the FHLB and applied for the funding to support relief efforts of minority and women-owned businesses.
“You poured your heart and soul into making fun parties for Milwaukee area families,” said Peoples State Bank Commercial Banking Officer Jose Pimienta, Jr. “We know with the help of this money, someday soon we’ll all be celebrating your success.”
“This money comes at a really nice time,” said Abigail Ramirez Sagrero, Balloon Decorations owner. “We’ll use it for our mortgage, payroll, and decorations supplies. Thank you!”
After opening her party planning business, Sagrero purchased a building in 2019, and invested much of her profit into remodeling the facility before COVID-19 hit in March, 2020. Peoples also provided $5,000 to Bosacki’s Chocolates & More of Minocqua and $5,000 to Travel Consultants of Wausau, Inc. as part of the $15,000 grant fund from the FHLB.
