Badger Bank Gives Back on Juneteenth
Badger Bank strives to be a community driven bank. Tying in with the Wisconsin Banker Association’s (WBA) Power of Community campaign, Badger Bank closed all four locations on June 19, also known as Juneteenth, to volunteer their time in partnership with the Jefferson County Parks Department to help clean up the Glacial River Trail in Fort Atkinson. Employees of Badger Bank spent the morning picking up trash along the trail in conjunction to HWY 26.
“When you bank locally, you’re reinvesting in your community, contributing to the welfare of your neighbors, and building a legacy of prosperity for future generations,” said President David Keleher. “This is one of the reasons we decided to take the day off and give back to the communities we serve.”
Community banks support local startups and contribute tax dollars that help maintain local municipalities and keep local neighborhoods viable and vibrant. Badger Bank’s community service was a way of thanking our community for putting your trust in us to secure your financial needs.
When choosing who to trust with your hard-earned money, Badger Bank want consumers to know that they have a choice and know a community bank respects and honors their community ties. Community banks have symbiotic relationships with their communities — one cannot thrive without the other. They know their customers and understand their financial needs. A community bank gives back. Serving local communities is second nature to community banks.
