Saqqara is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Lending Officer (CLO) to join our banking organization. The CLO will play a critical role in leading the lending activities of the bank, ensuring that all lending practices are consistent with the bank’s risk appetite and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the bank’s lending strategy, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy.
• Oversee the loan origination and underwriting processes, ensuring that all loans are made in a responsible and effective manner.
• Manage the loan portfolio, ensuring that loan quality is maintained and that risk is appropriately managed.
• Foster relationships with key borrowers, both individual and commercial.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Provide leadership and direction to the lending team, encouraging professional growth and development.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in lending practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in lending, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Must be comfortable working in a startup environment.
• Strong understanding of lending principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
