Bay Bank Announces Leadership Advancements to Strengthen Service and Expand Access
Bay Bank announced leadership advancements following its annual organizational meeting, positioning the Native-owned community bank for continued growth while reinforcing its longstanding commitment to building relationships and expanding access to opportunity.

Nathan King
On June 25, the Board of Directors approved two appointments. Nathan King was named executive vice president and chief operating officer, and Chris Coppens was named senior vice president and chief loan officer.
For more than 30 years, Bay Bank has operated with a clear mission: to increase access to capital, financial services and opportunity, particularly in underserved and Native communities. These new leadership changes reflect Bay Bank’s ongoing evolution as a relationship-first institution focused on individuals, businesses and communities across Wisconsin and beyond.
“We are aligning our leadership structure to strengthen how we operate and grow our ability to serve customers wherever they are,” said Bay Bank President/CEO Jeff Bowman. “What won’t change is who we are –– a bank built on trust and community impact.”
In his new role, King will oversee expanded operational functions, including finance and information technology, to enhance alignment bank-wide and ensure a seamless customer experience across both personal and digital channels.
Coppens will lead all lending operations, combining the commercial, mortgage and consumer lending teams under a unified strategy designed to improve responsiveness and increase access to capital in the communities Bay Bank serves.

While leadership responsibilities are evolving, Bay Bank’s core commitments remain unchanged:
• Personalized, relationship-based service
• Deep community connections
• A mission rooted in expanding access and opportunity
For customers and partners, these updates mean enhanced expertise, stronger coordination behind the scenes and continued delivery of the high-touch service they trust.
“Customers will see continuity in their relationships and service,” Bowman said. “What they gain is an even more aligned team working to meet their needs — today and into the future.”
Bay Bank will continue to invest in leadership, systems and partnerships that support long-term growth and allow the organization to meet customers wherever life takes them. These appointments reflect the strength of Bay Bank’s internal team and its commitment to building a future where access to financial opportunity is more widely available.
