Beyer Receives WBA Lifetime Service Award

Julie Beyer, assistant vice president and risk management officer at The Stephenson National Bank & Trust (SNBT), recently received the WBA Lifetime Service Award for extraordinary service to Wisconsin’s financial industry.
“On behalf of our industry, I’m pleased to recognize Julie’s 46 years in banking with a Wisconsin Bankers Association Lifetime Service Award,” said WBA Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff Daryll Lund. “Her dedication to her profession has made a positive impact on her bank as well as the colleagues and customers she has worked with over the years.”
Beyer joined SNBT in 1976 as a file clerk in the bank’s bookkeeping department. Her career has advanced through the years, where she has taken on many roles which include mortgage & commercial loan secretary/processor, loan review & administration officer, security officer, and historian of bank processes and events.
“There is so much Julie has seen and been part of throughout her nearly half century with SNBT,” said Daniel Peterson, SNBT president & CEO. “I’m proud to have her as part of our team, and I can speak for everyone when I say we are all grateful for her commitment to SNBT and her love for our community.”
Beyer, a Marinette native, graduated from Marinette High School with an administrative secretary/business foundation certificate. She furthered her financial education by taking many courses in banking, earning several American Institute of Banking and American Bankers Association certificates, and attending numerous Wisconsin Bankers Association and Community Bankers of Wisconsin seminars and workshops.
She has also received both the Distinguished Service Award and the SNBT WINGS (Worthy Individual Noted for Generous Service) Award, which honors exceptional participation in public service for the community. Beyer has served in many community organizations, such as the Marinette County Historical Society, M&M Youth Soccer Association, and she is currently the president of the Tri-County Dog Training Academy
