Community State Bank Expands Tri-County Fair Support

Triangle Background

Community State Bank (CSB) is pleased to announce that they have been named as the official clerk for the Livestock Auction at the Walworth County Fair.

“We are extremely honored to have accepted the opportunity as the official clerk for all counties in our markets,” said David Moyer, CSB senior vice president and ag manager. “Community State Bank is committed to supporting our local ag community and this is just one of the many ways that we are able to do so.”

Walworth County Fair becomes the third county fair that CSB has committed to assisting with the animal auctions.

Since 2007 Community State Bank has served as the official clerk for the Racine County Fair Livestock Auction and Fur and Feather Auction. In 2015, CSB stepped in as the official clerk for the Kenosha County Fair Large Animal Sale and Small Animal Sale.

The bank also donates hundreds of volunteer hours preparing for and clerking the auctions each year. Each auction requires approximately 10–15 CSB volunteers to help organize and complete the sale of hundreds of animals sold by local 4-H youth. This includes data entry, buyer registration, buyer check-out, meat processing coordination, and processing payments.

“Our main responsibility is to ensure that the sale is seamless between the exhibitor and the buyer,” said CSB Ag Coordinator Brian Lois. “Clerking the auctions is quite an undertaking and it’s a tradition we look forward to each year. We’re very excited to add Walworth County Fair to our event list for 2023.” In total, Community State Bank anticipates completing the sale of over a thousand animals for the 2023 fair season.

“Our partnership with Community State Bank over the past 15 years has been instrumental to the success of the Racine County Fair Livestock and Small Animal Auctions,” said Racine County Agricultural Society President Jeff Busch. “Through their countless hours of volunteer work and collaboration, we have grown the auctions in size and strength to benefit the youth of Racine County.”
