Community State Bank Introduces Scholarship for Walworth County Fair Exhibitors

Triangle Background

Community State Bank (CSB) is pleased to present The LEAD Award, a scholarship designed to celebrate Walworth County Fair exhibitors that are focused on serving and leading their communities.

“This is our first time clerking the Walworth County Fair Meat Animal Sale and we’d really like to also use this opportunity to share what Community State Bank is all about,” said CSB Ag Coordinator Brian Lois. “The LEAD Award is one way for us to do that and also a way for us to recognize the leadership efforts of Walworth County exhibitors.”

While Community State Bank will be focusing a majority of their volunteer efforts by leading the 2023 Walworth County Fair Meat Animal Sale, the award is available to all 2023 Walworth County Fair exhibitors that are a graduating high school senior or a post-secondary education student enrolled in the 2023–2024 school year.

“The LEAD Award was designed with Community State Bank’s values in mind,” said CSB Assistant Vice President Molly Krause. “We wanted to really acknowledge exhibitors who go above and beyond to not only volunteer in the community but lead their communities and make them better places to live and do business.”

The scholarship criteria is focused around Community State Bank’s LEAD model which includes: Leadership, Expectation, Achievement, and Dedication. Each value is broken down into questions for the applicant that focus on community involvement, future expectations, fair involvement, and lifelong learning.

Additional scholarship criteria and application details can be found at CSB.bank/lead-award. Applicants can submit a written or video application by Monday, September 4, the final day of the Walworth County Fair.

Following the fair, applicants will then be reviewed and chosen by a committee organized by Community State Bank. All chosen applicants will be awarded and recognized at the Walworth County Fair Buyers Dinner in September.

“We’re honored for this opportunity to support Walworth County, and we thank the Walworth County Fair and Walworth County Fair Meat Animal Sale Committee for allowing CSB to be a part of their event,” said Lois. “We’ll see you all at the fair, and please make sure to stop by and say hello to our team at the Meat Animal Sale on Friday, September 1.”
