First National Bank and Trust Company Supports Arcadia Youth Association With $5,000 Gift
First National Bank and Trust Company helped provide a lead-gift of $5,000 to assist with the launch of Arcadia Youth Association’s newly formed youth baseball and softball organization. The gift supported program equipment and updated scoreboards.
In 2021, the Arcadia Youth Association (AYA) was created in order to continue offering baseball and softball to our youth in Arcadia. The City of Arcadia helped with the transition and allowed the organization to use prior year’s uniforms and equipment.
As AYA moves forward, the organization will continue to use the equipment, replace and upgrade as needed. The cost of uniforms and tournament costs were also assisted. The group was able to update the North and South Field batting cages with cement and turf and has goals of continuing to restore the Dettloff Field to offer more room for kids to play the game they love.
First National Bank and Trust Company’s recent donation of $5,000 to the scoreboard was a benefit for long-term plans. This year’s season was bright with boys and girls teams from t-ball up to 14U and more than 150 kids participating. Each team played approximately two games a week from May 15 through July 7.
“We believe reinvesting in the communities we serve is as important as the products and services we provide,” said First National Bank and Trust Company Vice President of Community Banking Josh Grzadzielewski. “Giving is one of our company’s core principles. When more community members come together, to honor those that preceded us as well as help the next generation, we can make a difference.”
