First State Bank Promotes Schraufnagel
First State Bank has announced the promotion of Janelle Schraufnagel, SHRM-CP, to vice president, human resources director. Schraufnagel is responsible for the personnel administration and benefits for First State Bank’s more than 110 employees and creating a diverse work environment focused on employee productivity and wellbeing.
Schraufnagel joined First State Bank as the bank’s human resources/training specialist in June 2021 and was promoted to human resources director – human resources officer in September 2022. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in management and marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. She earned her SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) in May 2021 and graduated from the Graduate School of Banking for Human Resource Management this past April.

Schraufnagel and her family live in the Caroline area. When not attending her children’s sporting events, she enjoys playing volleyball, spending time outdoors, and traveling with her family.
