Fortifi Bank Celebrates Swansby’s 45-Year Career Anniversary

On Friday, June 2, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Fortifi Bank will celebrate Wendy Swansby’s remarkable career with a public gathering at 240 Broadway Street in Berlin. The community is invited to share stories over refreshments.
Wendy Swansby began her journey at Fortifi Bank as a teller and has made a significant impact throughout her years of service. Her commitment to providing outstanding customer service led her to hold positions in various departments, including customer service, loans, and data processing. Swansby’s passion for client interaction eventually brought her full circle back to the teller position, where she has continued to excel.

When Swansby began her career in 1978, Fortifi Bank, known then as The First National Bank of Berlin, was over a century old and employed 23 individuals. The utilization of computers for check and deposit processing had just been introduced in 1976, and drive-up windows, ATMs, and online banking were still in their infancy.
“Wendy’s natural ability for customer service and building relationships has left an indelible mark on our bank and the community,” Jennifer Moen, branch manager in Berlin. “Her sincere smile and caring nature have touched the lives of countless clients.
