Funds Provided to Taylor County Supportive Housing to Help Reduce Homelessness

Prevail Bank donated $3,000 to Taylor County Supportive Housing as they work to open a new shelter in the Medford community. Taylor County Supportive Housing will provide food, shelter, support and solutions to those individuals and families who have nowhere else to go. It will help address the housing needs in Medford and its surrounding communities.

“Prevail Bank’s donation could not have arrived at a better time,” said Amanda Newberry, Taylor County Supportive Housing Director. “With these funds we intend to renovate a women’s sleeping room quarters that will provide a safe and dry haven for multiple women for up to 90 days, in addition to warm meals and guidance to independence and financial stability.”

Laura Deuso, Medford Prevail Bank Branch Manager states, “Prevail Bank is proud to support the Taylor County Supportive Housing group and I am very excited to be a part of this — raising awareness of this great need in Taylor County! Taylor County Supportive Housing provides the needed support and solutions for those who have fallen on hard times, to regain stability, and secure a permanent home and employment.”

The Taylor County Supportive Housing group looks forward to serving the Medford community in many ways and building further relationships with community members, supporters, volunteers, and businesses.
