The Wisconsin Bankers Association (WBA) is seeking an enthusiastic, detail-minded accounting assistant to join our team. This person will process and maintain accounts payable and receivable, perform all cash receipt functions, prepare sales tax reports, provide administrative support to the accounting team, and will be essential in working with independent auditors on an annual basis. This person will also be a team player that will assist other departments with administrative duties as needed. This position works in-office, M–F, with the possibility of Friday being remote.
Qualifications:
This person is required to have:
- Associates Degree in Accounting or higher
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
- Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Demonstrated knowledge of accounting software
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Keen eye for details
- Ability to multi-task and maintain focus
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to interact professionally with staff, Board members, bankers, and vendors
- Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Willingness to work independently but also in a team environment
- Ability to problem solve
- Good judgement, strong organizational and communication skills
In addition, the ideal candidate would have:
- Non-profit association experience
- Knowledge of Traverse accounting software
