Accounting Assistant

The Wisconsin Bankers Association (WBA) is seeking an enthusiastic, detail-minded accounting assistant to join our team. This person will process and maintain accounts payable and receivable, perform all cash receipt functions, prepare sales tax reports, provide administrative support to the accounting team, and will be essential in working with independent auditors on an annual basis. This person will also be a team player that will assist other departments with administrative duties as needed. This position works in-office, M–F, with the possibility of Friday being remote.

Qualifications:

This person is required to have:

  • Associates Degree in Accounting or higher
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Demonstrated knowledge of accounting software
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Keen eye for details
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain focus
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to interact professionally with staff, Board members, bankers, and vendors
  • Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Willingness to work independently but also in a team environment
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Good judgement, strong organizational and communication skills

In addition, the ideal candidate would have:

  • Non-profit association experience
  • Knowledge of Traverse accounting software

Credit Analyst II – Senior Credit Analyst

The primary responsibility of the credit analyst position is to assist in the underwriting process for complex business loans and complex relationships by evaluating, identifying, and defining key credit risks. Analyze financial statements and prepare credit presentations to ensure transparency in the underwriting process. Work with lenders to provide loan operations with the necessary information to prepare loan documents.

The ideal candidate will have an associate degree in finance or related field.

  • Credit Analyst I (0–1.5 years) of previous banking experience, required
  • Credit Analyst II (2–3 years) of previous banking experience, required
  • Sr. Credit Analyst (4–5 years) of previous banking experience, required

Knowledge of financial software, and banking practices, required. Great customer service skills, required.

We are currently hiring for a full time universal banker at our main banking location. This position will handle cash transactions accurately and performs all other aspects of a paying and receiving teller. Provides quality customer service in a friendly, professional, and timely manner. Determines the customer’s needs and meets their expectations by recommending the appropriate product. Sells a variety of bank products and services to prospective and current customers, opening all accounts types for new and existing customers. A complete knowledge of all existing bank products is required as well as an awareness of what products and services are being offered by competing financial institutions.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous banking experience preferred. A minimum of 3–5 years cash management and customer service experience.

SVP/Senior Lender

As Senior Vice President/Senior Lender this employee is responsible for management of the loan department personnel including: Lenders, Loan Administration, Credit Loan Review, and Loan Policies. They are also responsible for the bank’s Loan Portfolio, all loan related functions, personnel, and products.

As a representative of Capitol Bank, employee shall activity manage and engage in business development efforts. Employee shall meet with clients and assess their needs by describing the benefits and features of the bank’s products and services to ensure maximum cross selling and account retention. Officer will manage an assigned profitable loan portfolio by analyzing and assessing extensions of credit in existence, in addition to underwriting any new credit requests. This position will be accountable for analysis of clients’ financial data for bank’s loan portfolio and ensuring updated information is on file.

A bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or related industry required. Graduate School of Banking preferred. Previous 10 years commercial lending banking experience required. Experience working in a banking environment required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Strong knowledge of credit, loans and lending policies and procedures.

Implementation and Support Specialist

FIPCO (Financial Institution Products Corporation), a wholly owned subsidiary of Wisconsin Bankers Association (WBA), is seeking a implementation and support specialist to join the team. This individual will act as software implementation liaison between new customers and FIPCO staff and be a provider of outstanding customer support. This person will also be a team player that will assist with software training duties and loan document generation. This position is in-office much of the time.

Qualifications

This person is required to:

  • Have strong organizational skills and enjoyment when helping others
  • Thrive on having multiple projects moving at once
  • Have excellent customer service, and written and oral communication skills; including listening, phone, and documentation skills
  • Possesses a keen eye for details
  • Have experience in MS Windows operating environments
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Use an analytical approach to problem solving

In addition, the ideal candidate would have:

  • Knowledge of the financial services industry with an emphasis on account opening and/or loan documents
  • Familiarity with loan and mortgage documentation software, a plus if experience is with Compliance Concierge software
  • Associate degree or equivalent knowledge/experience

This person provides front desk receptionist support as well as administrative support for the Executive team and the government relations department, including handling all the administrative duties related to the Association’s political action accounts. In addition, this person performs certain other office support to the organization.

In addition, the ideal candidate would have:

  • 2–3 years of administrative assistant experience
