One Community Bank Announces Dan Carey Has Been Promoted to Executive Vice President

Dan Carey

One Community Bank is excited to announce the promotion of Dan Carey to Executive Vice President. In his new role, Dan joins the One Community Bank executive team and will help guide initiatives across the organization. Dan also remains OCB’s Chief Commercial Officer, and will continue to help the commercial team grow and thrive.

“Dan brings an incredible blend of experience, leadership, and deep commitment to relationship banking,” said Steve Peotter, President and Chief Executive Officer. “He consistently leads with integrity and vision, and we’re excited to have Dan be part of our executive team.”

Dan’s career in community banking began shortly after earning his degree in Finance and Business Management from Edgewood College. His first role was as a credit analyst at a small community bank in Cambridge, Wisconsin. There, he gained a strong foundation in commercial lending and was fortunate to be mentored closely by both the bank’s President and EVP. That early exposure to senior leadership and operational strategy accelerated his development and shaped his collaborative leadership style.

“I am extremely excited to join the OCB executive team,” said Dan. “As a member of that team, I look forward to helping One Community Bank continue to align with its mission to Serve Clients, Support Colleagues, and Invest in our Communities.”

In addition to his role at One Community Bank, Dan is actively involved in the community. He serves on the Board of Directors for the McFarland Education Foundation and the Wisconsin Harness Horse Association, and volunteers as a youth sports coach. He enjoys building relationships with business owners and real estate professionals and is currently pursuing his CCIM designation as a member of CCIM Wisconsin.

Dan is also active in several professional organizations, including Smart Growth Greater Madison, 100 Men of Dane County, NAIOP Wisconsin, the Commercial Brokers Group, and multiple Chambers of Commerce throughout Dane County.

Outside of work, Dan enjoys spending time with his family, especially biking and boating on the Madison-area lakes. He is an avid Green Bay Packers fan and passionate about horse racing, particularly harness racing.
