“I am excited to have Donna on the Wausau Advisory Committee,” said Steve Peotter, president and CEO of One Community Bank. “She brings a unique mix of nonprofit leadership, community advocacy, and private-sector expertise to the group. Her passion and leadership are a great addition.”
Ambrose shared, “I am excited to join the Wausau Advisory Committee because it gives me a chance to work with other passionate leaders who want to strengthen our community and make a real, lasting difference. I hope the committee will encourage new ideas, build strong community partnerships, and support growth strategies that have a positive impact.”
Before moving into nonprofit leadership, Ambrose worked as a Lean Six Sigma project manager, where she gained strong skills in process improvement, strategic planning, and making operations more efficient. This experience still guides her today, as she uses data-driven problem-solving with a focus on respectful, caring, and people-centered service.
Ambrose’s work with The Neighbors’ Place reflects a long-term vision for sustainable growth. On the Advisory Committee, she intends to contribute strengths in strategic planning, process improvement, and community collaboration, with a particular focus on developing innovative approaches to food insecurity and expanding access to resources and support.
