Peoples State Bank Announces Employee Promotion and New Hire

Danielle Ballschmieder

Ryan Bushman

Peoples State Bank promotes Danielle Ballschmieder to branch manager of the Wausau Eastside location at 1201 Sixth Street. She succeeds Jaci Kell, who retired earlier this month after 25 years with Peoples. In addition, Peoples announces the hire of Ryan Bushman to the bank’s Stevens Point commercial banking team.

Ballschmieder began her career at Peoples 10 years ago as a customer service representative. She quickly advanced herself through positions to become a personal banker, all at the Eastside location.

“Danielle has excelled as a personal banker and is a true team player. The staff and customers at East all enjoy working with her and she has always been the go-to person for questions, training, and financial recommendations,” said Kari Solomonson, Peoples State Bank vice president and retail team leader. “Danielle’s experience and passion for helping her employees and customers succeed is a natural fit with Peoples’ customer focus. I have no doubt she will do well in her new role.”

“I’m excited to continue to work with the staff and customers at the Eastside branch,” said Ballschmieder. “I was privileged to learn from and be mentored by the former branch manager Jaci Kell and I’m looking forward to leading this team that I’ve been a part of for so many years.”

Ryan Bushman joins Peoples with 18 years of experience in banking, both on the retail and commercial sides of the business. Bushman will work with current and new commercial customers to provide flexible lending programs and deposit solutions to advance their businesses. He’ll be based at the bank’s new 138 McDill Avenue location in Stevens Point.

“In a short time in the market, Peoples has built a great reputation as a community bank that puts its customers and employees first,” said Bushman. “I’m eager to bring my banking experience to Peoples and to continue to work with local businesses in the area.”

Bushman is a Stevens Point native, with a Bachelor of Science degree from UW-Stevens Point. He volunteers his time upkeeping community parks and assisting with various non-profit community events.
