Prairie Trust® Invests in Continued Growth With Two Key Additions
Prairie Trust®, a division of Waukesha State Bank, is pleased to welcome Megan Ziesmann as Estate & Trust Settlement Administrator – Associate Trust Counsel and Katie Rieger as Fiduciary Tax Manager.

Megan Ziesmann
Megan has nearly four years of legal experience, most recently serving as Associate Attorney at Foley & Lardner LLP. Her experience includes advising high-net-worth individuals and multi-generational families on sophisticated estate planning, trust administration, and tax strategies, as well as managing complex wealth transfers and estate settlements.
In her new role, Megan will administer probate estates and trust settlements, overseeing the timely distribution of assets while guiding clients, beneficiaries, and professional advisors through the estate and trust administration process. She will also collaborate with internal teams and external partners to address fiduciary, legal, and tax matters while delivering exceptional client service.
Megan earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School and holds bachelor’s degrees in economics, with an emphasis in mathematics, and international studies from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She is co-chair of the Estate Planning Discussion Group for the Association for Women Lawyers, a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Wisconsin and the Milwaukee Young Lawyers Association, and an emerging member of the Milwaukee Estate Planning Forum.
Katie has more than 10 years of tax and accounting experience, most recently serving as a manager in the tax department at SVA Certified Public Accountants SC. Throughout her career, she has managed client tax relationships, reviewed complex tax returns for individuals, businesses, trusts, and estates, and advised clients on tax planning and compliance. She also has experience leading staff training and developing internal processes to improve efficiency and service.

Katie Rieger
In her new role, Katie will oversee the preparation and filing of fiduciary tax returns, ensuring the timely and accurate fulfillment of tax obligations for Prairie Trust and Waukesha State Bank Wealth Management. She will also provide technical income, estate and gift tax expertise and work closely with internal teams to support fiduciary administration and compliance.
Katie earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
