First State Bank branch manager Rhonda Richardson will retire on October 27 after more than 38 years in banking. Richardson began her banking career in 1985 with Pioneer Bank as a teller in the bank’s former Milladore office. When the bank opened a new branch in Wisconsin Rapids in 1997, Richardson moved to that location later becoming branch manager. She continued in her branch manager role when Pioneer Bank merged with First State Bank in 2020.
“The changes that have taken place in banking over the last 38 years have been most impacted by all of the technology available,” said Richardson. “I’ve always prided myself, though, in being able to help customers face-to-face. When people need help working through a financial situation or maybe they’ve been a victim of fraud, they really appreciate the knowledge and peace of mind we can provide.”
“Rhonda has been a valued member of our team, respected by our customers and coworkers alike,” commented First State Bank president and CEO Matthew Lemke. “We wish her the best in her well-deserved retirement.”
First State Bank’s held an open house in Richardson’s honor on Wednesday, October 25. Congratulations, Rhonda!
