Scot Thompson Joins Forward Bank

Triangle Background

Scot Thompson

Scot Thompson has joined Forward Bank as a vice president – senior business development leader and will help Jake Weinand and Larry Snedden build Forward’s presence in the Northwoods market.

In joining the team, Thompson will focus on building relationships with area businesses and community members in the Three Lakes and St. Germain communities. He will also be collaborating with the executive team on strategic initiatives that benefit the full organization.

“I’ve maintained connections with members of the Forward team since a few of us worked together years ago and we stay in touch at leadership conferences,” commented Thompson. “The culture drew me in to the conversations about joining this great team, and the future offices in the Northwoods gives me an opportunity to make a difference in communities that need a bank like Forward.”

Thompson earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Interstate Business College. He has over 35 years of financial services experience including president, CEO, chairman of the Board, executive management, and other various management positions. Over the years, Thompson has overseen all areas of commercial, agriculture, and retail; areas of operations; risk management; and interactive banking.

When not at work or volunteering, Thompson enjoys spending time with family and many of the outdoor recreational activities the beautiful Northwoods has to offer.

“Scot’s approach to business development and working with customers has always been admired within the banking industry. Together with Jake and Larry, he will provide strong leadership to an actively growing market for us,” said Dave Clark, president of Forward Bank. “As he moves through the communities in the Northwoods, he will be feeding referrals to the rest of the team allowing us to serve more businesses as we prepare to open our offices.”
