Gretta Stilson has been hired as vice president – mortgage lending sales manager at State Bank of Cross Plains. Stilson brings nearly two decades of mortgage lending experience, with a most recent focus on team management, to the role, which will see her mentoring the bank’s growing team of mortgage loan officers and developing lending options that match the specific needs of customers throughout south-central Wisconsin.
“Gretta’s background in training and coaching new lenders has really honed her leadership skills,” says Scott Ducke, State Bank of Cross Plains’ chief lending officer. “In addition, her personal experience as a mortgage lender helps her manage business goals, with our customers always at the forefront of every decision.”
Stilson’s responsibilities include supervising the mortgage lenders, evaluating and improving lending procedures, training new staff, establishing relationships with local realtors, and helping set direction for the department.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, Stilson believes her position requires more than her degree and her experience. It requires a commitment to the communities served by State Bank of Cross Plains through active involvement and volunteerism.
