In partnership with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago, WBA is pleased to announce and offer educational scholarships for select WBA fall education events to bankers who are members of Historically Underrepresented Groups. The scholarships are being offered to invest in these bankers and help them develop in their career in the banking industry. The scholarships are open to members of underrepresented groups, including African Americans, Asian Americans, Hispanics or Chicanos/Latinos, Native Americans, those who are members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and those with disabilities.
Scholarships will cover the registration fee of the selected program along with overnight accommodations as needed. Other travel expenses and meals not provided at the event are to be covered by the individual/bank. Scholarships will be made available for the following WBA education events:
WBA Secur-I.T. Conference | Wisconsin Dells | September 12–13, 2023

This one-and-a-half-day multi-track conference is designed for your bank’s IT, security, and operations professionals. Attendees will enjoy networking with over 120 of their banking peers while also attending keynotes sessions, vendor-hosted breakout sessions, peer group discussions, and dedicated time for networking.

This two-day dynamic, interactive workshop is just what all supervisors need – both new and experienced supervisors will benefit! The program includes exploring the coaching and leadership skills that lay out a plan for your success as a highly effective supervisor. As WBA’s advanced-level commercial lending and credit school, this school builds on the knowledge of experienced lenders and credit analysts to take their skills to the next level. Faculty-led instruction, case studies, in-class work, and class discussions are all elements of this school. Prior attendance at the WBA Introduction to Commercial Lending School and/or at least 2 years of working experience in commercial/credit are highly recommended.

This annual winter summit brings together Wisconsin community banking emerging leaders for a full day of education and networking. BOLT stands for Building Our Leaders of Tomorrow and represents the emerging leaders section of membership within WBA. Any banker who is looking to grow in their career in banking and further develop their leadership skills should consider being a part of the BOLT Section.
