The Wisconsin Bankers Association (WBA) is providing five (5) grants of $10,000 each for member banks to use for housing, economic development, and certain financial literacy purposes in 2024. The following application must be submitted to WBA no later than 5:00 p.m. Central Time on Friday, March 15, 2024. All applications will be timely reviewed, and a response will be provided back no later than Friday, April 19, 2024.

There are three broad categories for which the grant proceeds may be used: housing and housing literacy, economic development/community investment, and financial or cyber literacy. The funds must be used for one of these purposes and directly benefit consumers and/or businesses in Wisconsin. Grant recipients will be asked to submit an impact report about how the funding was used, a description of the program or project and goals achieved, and specific metrics to illustrate the consumer/business impact of the program or project. The impact report must be provided within 30 days from the date the grant proceeds were used.

By submitting this grant application, the named contact person certifies that all information provided to WBA, along with any supporting documentation, is accurate. The applicant shall indemnify and hold harmless WBA, its officers, directors, and employees in respect of any and all costs, claims, injuries, losses, damages, or liabilities arising from or in connection with the application or any grant associated with this application and all expenses related thereto (including, without limitation, settlement costs and any legal or other expenses for investigation or defending any actions or threatened actions arising from or in connection with the application or any grant associated with the application), except to the extent such costs, losses, and/or amounts result from intentional misconduct or gross negligence by the WBA. This indemnification shall survive the disbursement of any grant awarded pursuant to this application. If WBA, in its sole discretion, determines that any portion of any grant awarded pursuant to this application was used in connection with fraud or misrepresentation conducted by the applicant, WBA shall require the party which engaged in the fraud or misrepresentation to repay to WBA the full amount of the grant that was disbursed by WBA.
