FHLBank Chicago
The Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago (FHLBC) is a wholesale bank and government sponsored enterprise that provides housing finance to more than 760 member commercial banks, savings institutions, credit unions, and insurance companies located in the 7th Federal Home Loan Bank District of Illinois and Wisconsin. The FHLBC provides short- and long-term funding and asset liability management solutions plus a secondary mortgage market program. It also supports members’ community investment initiatives through letters of credit, discounted advances (loans), and grants for affordable housing and economic development projects as well as for first-time home buyers.
