2026 WBA BSA/AML Workshop

In-Person or Virtual Attendance Options Available!

This annual program will be hosted on Thursday, October 22, 2026. The workshop will begin at 9:00 a.m. CT and conclude at 4:00 p.m. CT. You may choose to attend in person at the WBA office in Madison, WI, or participate via livestream. You’ll select your preference during registration

This Back to Basics workshop will cover the essential foundations of a sound BSA/AML and Sanctions Program. Participants will start with BSA/AML and OFAC fundamentals, then build from the ground up through CIP, CDD, Beneficial Ownership, CTRs, SARs and fraud-related reporting. The workshop will focus on practical, operational guidance—including common errors, red flags, decision-making and examiner expectations—to help financial institutions strengthen the fundamentals and build sound, effective compliance programs.

CE Credits:

WBA will apply for CRCM credits for this program and provide the appropriate number of credits for those with the designation. Bankers with the CCBCO designation can self-submit this program for credit using the agenda provided at the workshop.

Who Should Attend:

This program is designed for personnel who have basic-level responsibilities for BSA compliance. Individuals with retail banking, risk management, compliance, audit, operational, corporate banking, and training responsibilities will benefit from this program. No advance preparation is required.

Registration:
The registration fee of $275/attendee includes program registration, instruction, and materials.

Registration for livestream access provides one connection for the individual who is registered. Additional attendees from the bank who also would like to attend and receive materials should register separately. Each individual virtual attendee can request a verification of attendance upon completion of the program. Livestream registration includes access to the workshop recording through December 31, 2026.

ELECTRONIC MATERIALS:
As part of our efforts to go green, workshop materials will be provided electronically. Please bring a laptop or tablet to access the materials during the workshop. If you prefer a hard copy, you are welcome to print the materials ahead of time. Materials will be emailed to all registered attendees three business days prior to the workshop.

Refund Policy:
A refund, less a $25 administrative fee, is provided for cancellations requested on or before October 15. Refund requests must be made in writing to wbaeducation@wisbank.com.
