WBA BSA/AML Workshop
The WBA BSA/AML Workshop will take place on October 30 with In-Person or Virtual Attendance Options Available!!
The Workshop will begin at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at 4:00 p.m.
This Back to Basics workshop will cover all the essentials of running a sound BSA/AML and Sanctions Program for all financial institutions. From CTR filing, CTR Exemptions, SAR filing, high-risk customer reviews, alert dispositions, policies and procedures and everything in between. Highly operational with a focus on how foundational strength can lead to sound and effective programs. At a minimum, this workshop will cover:
- An overview of the beginning through current day regulatory requirements and trends
- Written program elements that move a program forward
- Effective Board communication and statistics
- CTRs, SARs, and DOEP program elements
- CDD/EDD and how to ensure it impacts your program
- Effective approaches to alert dispositions and high-risk customer reviews
- Why OFAC/Sanctions must be a dynamic part of the AML program
CE Credits:
WBA will apply for CRCM credits for this program and provide the appropriate number of credits for those with the designation. Bankers with the CCBCO designation can self-submit this program for credit using the agenda provided at the workshop.
Who Should Attend:
This program is designed for personnel who have basic-level responsibilities for BSA compliance. Individuals with retail banking, risk management, compliance, audit, operational, corporate banking, and training responsibilities will benefit from this program. No advance preparation is required.
Registration:
Fee: $245 per person, per session
Includes instruction, materials, lunch buffet, and access to livestream recording for virtual attendees.
Virtual Access: The virtual option is also $245 per session and includes one livestream connection and recording access. Each virtual attendee must register separately to receive materials and verification of attendance.
Refund Policy:
A refund, less a $25 administrative fee, is provided for cancellations requested on or before October 24. Refund requests must be made in writing to wbaeducation@wisbank.com.
